The Zen Twin stemmed from a long time friend and team rider Zen Joyce who had an idea simmering inside him for a board that would surf smaller gutless waves around home (East Coast Aus) and also be a sturdy blade in the pumping waves of the Mentawai Islands as he had a trip coming up that he would be guiding for a few months. Sadly Zen only scored mid size waves before COVID-19 pulled him back home, regardless the feedback from Zen was “that thing is insane!”
The Zen Twin is designed to be a versatile shape, it holds enough rocker for the bigger days and flies down the line as a mid length step up, enough volume in the chest area to get into waves well before you would on your regular shortboard. This twin fin has a rounded tail with channels running through to help grip the face of the wave complemented with a lower rail design to which makes the board epic for long drawn out swooping rail carves.
On smaller days the Zen Twin thrives as a glider and has the ability to grovel as a fun mid length. It will get in early and beat dead sections
